This weeks honors goes to SF QB Alex Smith who was 20 of 24 for 357 yards and 4 TDs. His career day helped the 49ers remain unbeaten by holding off the Chargers in a hard-fought battle, 35-25.
Runner up: Pats' RB Willie Parker, who ran for 130 yards, and 3 TDs on 14 carries.Defensive Player of the Week
The defensive honors goes to the Redskins' talented rookie OLB Totian Watts, who had 2 tackles, 1 INT (returned 27 yards for a TD) and 1 sack in a win over the G-Men, 30-12.
Runner up: Cowboys' MLB Keith Brooking, who had 1 sack, 1 INT, 1 FFMBL, and 2 tackles. | |
